Welcome

As most of my friends and family know I am posted to st jean in Quebec trying to get onto my bmq. Most people may or may not know st jean is merely an hour away from Montreal. My only experience of Montreal before coming here was just a drive through on our way to the east from the west or visiting family in Ontario. I've been to the city a few times now and have fallen in love. The city is large but it is also perfect for just walking around and exploring. if you know me all I really care about is where can I eat? Where is the market? And where do I get a quality coffee? Seeing as I'm stuck here away from home for some time I wanted to post places I've discovered in my travels as well as continue to discover when I get home. So here you go:
What I ate in Montreal #1
*kanda sushi       -all you can eat sushi $25.99        -rice paper rolled sushi hands down the best, very light and fresh        -most unusual was cream cheese with smoked salmon (better on a bagel)
*yeh! Yogurt glacĂ© & cafe       -eaton centre mall on st Catherine's street       -self serve frozen yogurt bar!       -many favors to choose from vanilla to peanut butter to red velvet cupcake       -toppings bar as well as fresh fruit       -pay by the weight
*crepes au marche       -jean talon market       -buckwheat crepes which are gluten free!       -it was a Sunday in the market so it was very busy so service took a while
*jean talon market       -open air city market similar to Kensington market in Toronto       -most vendors offer free samples of fruit and vegetables       -best place to grab a coffee, people watch and listen to musicians
